XL Launches Managed SSL Service on Juniper Networks SSL VPN
New Service Provides Secure Remote Access For Customers Looking to Avoid Costly Business Disruptions During Emergencies
INDONESIA, October 26, 2009 — Juniper Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: JNPR), the leader in high-performance networking, today announced that Indonesian service provider PT Excelcomindo Pratama Tbk (XL) has launched XConnect, a new managed SSL service running on Juniper Networks' SA4500 SSL VPN appliance. Juniper's highly reliable and secure remote access platform enables XConnect customers to remain operational during emergencies when staff are unable to get to the office.
XConnect provides each customer with a unique URL for secure remote logins, ensuring that users can access their applications and conduct business during emergencies such as terrorist attacks or a major Swine Flu outbreak. The service meets an increasing need for better business continuity from regional businesses looking to minimize revenue loss due to natural catastrophes and man made disasters. Juniper Networks SSL VPN solution gives remote users secure remote access to network resources by using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology to connect through XL's MPLS network.
